Terms of Service
The agreement between you and OpsLight when you sign up, use opslight.app, or have OpsLight handle your customer intake.
Effective date: 2026-05-21 · Version: 1.0 (initial draft)
⚠️ Draft — not yet lawyer-reviewed
This is OpsLight's initial Terms of Service draft, prepared 2026-05-21. It covers the typical bases for a US sole-proprietor SaaS at pilot stage, but it has not been reviewed by a licensed attorney. If you're entering a paid engagement with us or need a contract that holds up under litigation, ask us for the lawyer-reviewed v2 — we'll be issuing it before the first paid SOW ships.
1. Who we are
OpsLight is operated by Altin Sallaku, a sole proprietor doing business as "OpsLight" (referred to in these terms as "OpsLight," "we," "us," or "our"). Our address of record is 311 Mainsail Ct, Foster City, CA 94404, USA. Contact: altin@opslight.app.
Because OpsLight is currently a sole proprietorship (LLC formation in progress), all rights and obligations under these Terms apply to Altin Sallaku personally. When LLC formation completes, we will update these Terms to substitute the LLC as the contracting party and notify existing users.
2. What you're agreeing to
By creating an OpsLight account, submitting the onboarding form at opslight.app/onboard, or otherwise using the Service, you ("you," "Owner," "Customer") agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
3. What the Service is
OpsLight is a multi-tenant operations platform that:
- Receives customer inquiries on your behalf via voicemail, SMS, email, and web form;
- Uses AI (currently Anthropic Claude) to classify each inquiry by urgency, intent, and content;
- Records classified inquiries in a Google Sheet ("Your Vault") that you own and that we have Editor access to;
- Sends owner-alert SMS or email when an inquiry is classified urgent or otherwise meets thresholds you configure;
- Provides a read-only dashboard at
opslight.app/in/<your-shortname>/dashboardshowing all inquiries; and - Optionally: generates SOW drafts, monthly status reports, and other operational documents.
The exact feature set evolves. We may add, remove, or modify features without notice during the pilot period.
4. Your account and shortname
Each Owner gets a unique shortname derived from your business name (e.g. joes-plumbing). The shortname determines your customer-facing intake email address (joes-plumbing@opslight.app) and your dashboard URL. You can't change the shortname after onboarding; if you need to, contact us and we'll provision a new one and migrate your data.
You're responsible for keeping your account contact information accurate and for safeguarding the credentials we send you. Notify us at altin@opslight.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Pilot pricing
During the pilot period (currently active as of the effective date above), the Service is free. No credit card required. We may introduce paid tiers in the future; we will give you at least 30 days' notice via the email on file before charging anything, and you can cancel at any time before that date with no penalty.
If you choose to add SMS or voicemail intake via a dedicated phone number, optional add-ons may carry pass-through telecom fees (e.g. ~$2/month for a Twilio number) that we will quote you separately before provisioning.
6. Your Customer Data
You own your customer data. Every inquiry your customers send to your OpsLight intake address belongs to you. We act as a processor — we store, classify, route, and surface it to you, but it's yours.
You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to process your Customer Data solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you. We do not use your Customer Data to train AI models, to advertise to your customers, or to sell to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details on subprocessors (Cloudflare, Anthropic, Brevo, Postmark, Google).
You can export your data at any time as a CSV from your dashboard. On termination, we will return or delete your data within 30 days per Section 13.
7. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose;
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk communications through any OpsLight-provisioned channel;
- Upload content that violates anyone's rights (privacy, intellectual property, etc.);
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other Owners' data or the underlying systems;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service except as expressly permitted by law (you may export YOUR OWN data freely);
- Use the Service to build a competing product.
We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you're violating this section. We will email you the reason and give you a chance to respond before any termination becomes permanent.
8. Availability and best-effort SLA
The Service runs on Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare Pages, and Google infrastructure. Their uptime is typically excellent, but we don't guarantee any specific availability target during the pilot period. We aim for >99% but make no contractual commitment. If we introduce a paid tier, that tier will include a written SLA.
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by California law.
9. AI classification accuracy
OpsLight uses Anthropic Claude (and may in the future use other large language models) to classify inquiries. AI classification is not perfect. We do not guarantee that an urgent inquiry will always be classified urgent, or that low-priority inquiries won't occasionally be flagged urgent. You remain responsible for monitoring your dashboard and responding to customers; OpsLight is a routing and surfacing tool, not a replacement for your own judgment.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OpsLight's total cumulative liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service is capped at (a) the total fees you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) $100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages (including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption), even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
This cap is a material part of the consideration for the Service, especially given the pilot-pricing (free) status.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OpsLight (and Altin Sallaku personally) against any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms; (b) content you or your customers send through OpsLight that violates a third party's rights; or (c) your failure to respond to inquiries that came through OpsLight.
12. Confidentiality
We treat the contents of your Customer Data as confidential. We will not disclose it to third parties except (a) to the subprocessors listed in our Privacy Policy solely for service operation; (b) as required by law (in which case we will notify you unless prohibited from doing so); or (c) with your written permission.
13. Termination
You can terminate your account at any time by emailing altin@opslight.app with the subject "Terminate my OpsLight account." We will close the account, stop classifying new inquiries, and either return your Customer Data as a CSV export OR delete it (your choice) within 30 days.
We may terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, after providing reasonable notice and a chance to cure.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we'll email the address on file and post a "Last updated" date at the top of this page at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Mateo County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
16. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and OpsLight regarding the Service.
